A mother-of-six was killed in a horrific traffic accident after her family van collided with a truck on Wednesday morning.
30-year-old Hannah Louise Foster was driving through Wongamine, Australia, with her children when her Kia Carnival van smashed into a concrete mixer truck.
The massive collision took place on Wednesday morning at around 6.20 am on Goomalling-Toodyay Road just north of Perth.
Foster was killed at the scene. Two of her six children – the youngest one being just 14 months old – are still in critical condition and fighting for their lives.
According to the preliminary reports, two children were rushed to a Perth hospital in an ambulance while the other four were airlifted to the hospital.
The driver of the truck was also taken to the hospital after suffering minor injuries.
“To the love of my life, I’m sure I got the chance to tell you just how much your presence in my life made me a better man or just how much you meant to me,” the mother’s husband, Leighton Fraser, said in a touching tribute to his wife after her passing.
“I hope that in the years we spent side by side my actions told you every day that I love you more than words can describe. The thought of you not being here with me is so surreal.”
The tear-jerking post continued: “So as I look to our future I vow to raise the kids to the absolute best of my ability and promise that I will always honor the amazing person you are.
“Till I see you again rest easy my darling. I will love and cherish you always. Gone but never forgotten.”
Meanwhile, Fraser’s father, Corey, launched a GoFundMe page to get financial help for his son and grandchildren.
Following the deadly crash, an investigation into the circumstances leading to the collision has been launched. As of this writing, the cause of the crash remains unclear.
“In addition to the tragic loss of life in this crash, there are six children and the driver of the truck who have all personally experienced a traumatic event and will need ongoing support,” WA Police said in a statement
“Incidents like this also impact on the police officers and other emergency responders who attend the scene, and who provide ongoing care to those involved.”
Our thoughts are with Hannah’s family and friends during this tragic time.
