While the paramedics arrived at the scene just minutes after they were called, nothing could be done to save little Amina from her cruel fate.

Following the baby girl’s death, Johnson and O’Shea appeared to blame her premature passing on inoculation and the paramedics who attempted to save her life.

Though sudden unexplained death was initially suspected of playing a role in the child’s passing, the dark truth began to surface after the post-mortem confirmed that Amina had suffered more than 60 broken bones, including 24 fractures to her limbs and an additional 41 fractures to her ribs, in the weeks leading to her death.point 567 | 1

According to the radiologists who carried out the examination, it was very likely that the little girl’s injuries were caused by continuous physical abuse.

Both Johnson and O’Shea have since been found guilty of child cruelty and causing or allowing a child to suffer physical harm.

While the couple was set to be sentenced this week, the sentencing has been adjourned until January 28, 2022, by Judge Nigel Peters, QC.

Though Johnson was previously granted bail due to her health condition, the judge has ordered both defendants to stay in custody until the sentencing.

“It was only the eye operation that caused me to grant a concession. This is a case of the utmost seriousness and will involve a significant period of custody for both defendants. I’m afraid she will be remanded in custody along with him,” Judge Peters said.
