Mom-Of-Seven Dies In FRONT OF HER TWINS Just Days Before Her Birthday After Suffering From Suspected Asthma Attack


A mom of seven has died suddenly after a medical incident at her Skewen home.

Jenna Stacey, 36, who had been due to celebrate her 37th birthday on March 8, Tuesday has suffered a suspected severe asthma attack, which brought on a heart attack.

Jenna was mom to Angel, 16, Libby, who turns 14 on March 2, Wednesday, twins Penny and Phoebe, 7, Ellis, 6, Piper, 3, and Ethan, 1. The two eldest children are currently with their dad and the rest are being cared for by Jenna’s parents, Richard, 56, and Debbie, 55.

Jenna was found by her seven-year-old twins after falling ill at home before her brother Mark, 34, desperately tried to revive her. She was rushed to the hospital for urgent treatment but she died on February 24.

Paying tribute, her family described Jenna as “very loved and well known by the community”. Her sister Michelle Stacey, 38, from Neath, Port Talbot, said: “She wore her heart on her sleeve and would help if she could. Jenna was my baby sister and she was amazing.”

She continued: “We are all close in our little ways she was always there on family days. She was beautiful. It’s been a big shock for everyone in the community. We are absolutely heartbroken.

“It does not seem real at the moment. It’s like a nightmare you expect to wake up from, it’s just like a shock it’s hitting us in waves at the moment.”

“It was a sudden death. Jenna had a severe asthma attack that brought on a heart attack. We were told she was already dead before the family got there. My brother Mark gave her CPR and managed to get her heartbeat back before the paramedics arrived last Wednesday,” Michelle added.

Michelle explained that Jenna had a couple of heart attacks on the way to the hospital before she was moved to ICU, but she had been deprived of oxygen. “There was no brain function there, she was brain dead,” she added.

Michelle continued: “She was placed on life support at Morriston Hospital and they said there was nothing they could do for her. Jenna had always suffered from asthma and was a heavy smoker. It was her twin daughters who found her.”

Jenna previously worked as a supervisor for B&M in Llansamlet and has also worked in the local launderette for a decade. She was one of five children.

Michelle shared: “When she was growing up she said she didn’t want to have any children. She didn’t have a maternal instinct until she was pregnant with her eldest child.”

“The amount of people who sent their condolences has been overwhelming. She was a lovely, caring, fun, outgoing person. She kept herself to herself and would not get herself involved in any drama. Jenna was my baby sister and she was amazing,” she added.
