In what is being described as a heartbreaking turn of events, a mother has admitted to killing her 2-year-old toddler.

According to local media reports, the suspect has been identified as Carol Hodgson who says she killed Daniel James Hodgson Green at a residence that was in the quiet market town of Guisborough. This was located in North Yorkshire and is believed to have occurred on February 2.

Cops were reportedly called in after horrifying reports reached them in regards to the toddler’s death who was reportedly injured after the hours of 10 am.

Meanwhile, a woman was also reportedly found in an injured state at the same address, confirmed authorities. She was then rushed to the nearest local hospital.

However, little Daniel just couldn’t pull through and is believed to have succumbed to his injuries, thanks to his evil mother.

Hodgson who hails from the Upper Garth Gardens admitted to the gruesome murder crime while appearing for a ten-minute long hearing today.

Soon, afterward, she is believed to have been remanded in custody and her sentencing has been scheduled for the next month.

For now, there are no details being revealed about the offense that had taken place during that short hearing.

But we did hear the case’s detective go into detail about how the sudden loss of this young child at this age is incredibly beyond sad and their comprehension. Similarly, he was seen thanking the entire team that have worked on the investigation and also ensured that the case was brought to court and the mother charged.

In the end, the detective concluded and hoped people who knew Daniel on a more personal level could find some sort of comfort in knowing that justice is on its way to being served.
