A missing toddler from Tennessee was suffocated using foil and then buried alive inside a trash can.
According to local media outlets, the 15-month-old female was tortured by her own mother using a blanket and aluminum foil. After that, she was reportedly shoved upside down, as confirmed by authorities.
Evelyn Boswell went missing in December of 2019 but was only reported missing two months down the lane. She was later discovered inside the trash can on her grandad’s property, as confirmed recently by Crime Online.
The Tenessee Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Brian Fraley explained to the court on Friday that he held a strong belief that they can only place there recently.
He even mentioned how he saw a leg with a foot attached to it on top of the trash can. It was consistent with the infant that had been described recently as missing.
Meanwhile, the mother named Megan Boswell faces a slew of charges, including two separate counts related to capital murder, aggravated child abuse, and then neglect as well. In the same way, there was proof of abuse of the corpse and the indication that a series of false reports were made as well.
Dr. Darinka Mileusinc-Polchan who is the medical examiner for both the Knox and Anderson counties explained to the court how the death was actually a homicide that took place by asphyxia in about four different places.
Meanwhile, the forensic expert handling the case says it is confirmed that the child was alive when she was placed inside the trash can. She was wrapped tightly with a blanket and using aluminum foil.
The child was forced into a compressed state inside the can, in what was described as an accordion position. There were also some details about their suffering from severe amounts of overextension of her head and neck, a very extended position.
More investigations into the harrowing case are continuing as cops express great concern over the mother’s shocking behavior.
