The hunt for the missing mom from Lancashire who reportedly vanished last week has come to a tragic end as cops find her dead remains.
According to local media reports, Katie Kenyon was last seen when she boarded a van and after that, her loved ones and friends are yet to hear from her.
Yesterday, it was announced how cops had arrested a man whom they claimed to be the suspect in the case and even declared him as the reason behind her mysterious disappearance.
They even revealed how they were yet to find her body but did assume she was dead, without providing any real details on the investigation.
The loving mom was identified as 33-year-old Katie Kenyon who hailed from Burnley.
She was a mother of two that was last seen aboard a silver-toned transit van by Ford, which was believed to be driven out of town.
Ever since the tragic reports of her disappearance, the police have been carrying out a number of searches in her name, especially in one particular area. This area was believed to be the Forest of Bowland.
Surprisingly, the suspect arrested in the case was declared as the mother’s former lover. He was identified as Andrew Burfield who is 50 years old.
“Yes, the search for the mother’s body has come to a tragic end. We have found her remains”- the authorities confirmed today.
Many loved ones and members of the community were holding on to some hope that perhaps the mother would be found alive but that was not the case as revealed today by investigators following the case very closely.
“We received details today about where exactly she could be and that’s why we began searching there. We found her body”- the investigators added.
The exact cause of the mother’s death is yet to be determined as is the murderer’s motive behind the killing.
