The search for a missing teenage girl who didn’t come home has ended in a tragedy after the police located a body in a wooded area.
According to local media reports, a massive search was launched for the missing teenage female but it now appears that it has ended in a tragedy after cops have confirmed finding a body from a wooded area.
While authorities are now waiting for the results of the formal identification process, many believe that it is indeed the body of Imogen Tothill.
The 17-year-old reportedly failed to return back to her residence which was located in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire yesterday. But little did anyone know that the search would end with such a heartbreaking finding.
At the moment, cops claim that her death is not being treated as one that is of suspicious intent, however, not too many details can be given out to the public right now as investigations into the tragic case continue.
The Cheshire police recently confirmed how a file is being prepared in this matter and the media will be made aware of its findings soon.
Meanwhile, one spokesperson from the police revealed how officers that were busy searching for the missing teenage girl have sadly found a body.
“The body was discovered from a wooded area that was located near Ravenscroft today, February 9, Wednesday.
“While we are still waiting for the formal identification process to continue, it is believed that it belongs to the missing teenager named Imogen Tothill”- they added.
The police have informed the victim’s next of kin about the findings, who is also being supported by specialist officers regarding this matter.
The spokesperson concluded by mentioning how their thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family during this difficult time.
