A loving father has reportedly died under the most tragic circumstances while making attempts to cross the US-Mexico border.
According to reports from local media outlets, the dad died after falling off a metal barrier on the respective border wall that separates both nations from one another. Sadly, he had his three-year-old son in his arms during the fall.
But sources claim that the child somehow managed to survive the great fall.
The 50-year-old victim was identified as Brijkumar Daxiniprasad who made dire attempts to scale over the massive 30-foot high fence while holding on to his son. They both abruptly fell down on the ground toward the Mexican side of the border that’s highlighted to be in Tijuana.
Authorities from Tijuana mentioned how Daxiniprasad’s wife also fell down from the top of the wall but landed on the San Diego part of the steel border barrier.
Medics who rushed to the scene claim he suffered from the worst head injury and had been pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
His wife was also by his side during the tragic ordeal. She is believed to have suffered from a fractured hip and an injury designated on her arm region. Thankfully, she was rushed by the medics to a nearby medical facility on time and has been believed to have survived.
Before this tragedy had ensued, at least 30 migrants were able to cross the border before this accident and had been intercepted by the American Border Patrol for the act of processing.
Meanwhile, another nine individuals followed the deadly fall where Daxiniprasad died but there were all stopped by the forces on the border. They turned the group over to those hailing from the National Institute of Migration.
Sources detailed how the incident came at a time when the country has set out new health laws to curb the spread of COVID-19 infections.
