Two men have been accused of trying to kidnap a 4-month-old child in front of its terrified mother.
According to local media reports, the horrifying incident took place yesterday in the district of Poole. Cops confirmed the timing of the incident to be around 3 pm in the afternoon.
Sources revealed how the two men reportedly jumped out of a white-colored van and tried to snatch the child away from the mother who was standing right in front of them.
The baby was strapped inside a pushchair which made it a little hard for the kidnappers to randomly pick up the child and leave, reported added.
The mother acted in a swift manner and instead of panicking, she threw a few punches at the two men who were left with no decision but to abandon their horrifying and illegal mission and run away.
The police officers in Dorset have gone on to claim how the duo was fully capable of snatching the child but it was all thanks to the mother and her due bravery that the child was saved.
“She acted in the right way and at the right time. She definitely deserves a heroic status”- the officers explained.
The police force claimed that they rushed to the scene of the crime after reports about a failed baby abduction were reported to them at 3 in the afternoon. Moreover, they shed light on how the mother was pushing her child in the baby chair during the afternoon hours on Evering Avenue in Poole. But then all of a sudden, she was approached by these two men who grabbed the pushchair and tried to dislodge the child from it.
Fortunately, the mother was quick thinking and she aborted their mission by kicking the duo who were left with no option but to make a quick escape.
Police are still searching for the men as an investigation into the harrowing crime continues.
