Shockingly tragic reports are coming out from India where nearly all members of the same family drowned while trying to save their siblings.
According to local media outlets, a duo of sisters was seen taking selfies and while doing so, they fell into the water.
Family members noticed how they were dying and hence quickly followed behind them, in an attempt to save them. But they all drowned together, as revealed by local authorities.
A total of six fatalities from the same family in India were reported, which included the death of a 14-year-old girl too. The family was said to be enjoying some time off together but no one knew that it would end like this.
According to witnesses present at the scene, the family appeared all happy and beaming with smiles when they arrived at the stunning Ramdaha Waterfall. This is located near the District of Korea in India.
The ages of the victims were identified to be between 14 and 26 years old. They were all siblings from the same family but who knew the love for a selfie would tear them apart forever?
There was reportedly only one person, 22-year-old Surekha Singh, who managed to survive the tragic incident. Meanwhile, one witness revealed how two teenagers wished to take a selfie near the waterfall. And that is what caused them to lose their balance and fall.
The rest jumped in to save them and they all died one by one.
Rescue officials confirmed how all the bodies of the victims were retrieved the next day. After undoing a post-mortem examination, the bodies were handed over to their loved ones in the end.
