A woman was seen sparking fury recently and even getting pelted with water bottles after she was seen scaling an ancient Mayan temple.
According to reports from local media outlets, the female tourist was bashed left and right as many felt she had zero respect for other cultures to engage in such behavior.
Footage showed her climbing up the steps at the Chicken Itza archaeological site in Mexico. Moreover, a crowd was seen shouting and throwing water at her when she came down a staggering 91 steps.
At that point, she spoke about how the pyramid steps were banned since the year 2008.
All of a sudden, a giant group of angry locals began to huddle around her.
While she is yet to be named, the woman was seen as located near the top of El Castillo, or the Pyramid of Kukulcan in the Mexican state of Yucatan. Moreover, she was seen dancing while one enraged group of people began to abuse her from a distance while others stared at her from down below.
This particular site was famous for being an important center for the Mayan civilization that has been banned since 2008.
Once the young woman began to descend down the 91 steps, she was met with another angry crowd and some of them continued to chant in a very loud tone, jail, jail, and jail as they felt that was the punishment she deserved for such types of disrespect.
Others felt the time had come to lock her up and then throw away the keys because this was the true definitely of disrespect.
This was one trip that not a lot of people would adore as the woman really found it hard to make it past the giant crowd.
Thanks to the security staff that surrounded her, she was finally able to come out of it.
