Matthew Perry’s former co-stars reportedly didn’t attend the actor’s entire funeral as he was laid to rest on Friday.
The legendary comedian and funnyman, who was best known for playing Chandler Bing in the sitcom Friends for ten years, was buried at Forest Lawn Church of the Hills in Los Angeles after passing away suddenly due to a presumed drowning in his hot tub.
While Matt’s co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, and David Schwimmer were seen arriving at the service in a group, it was now revealed that they left the scene after the initial service and that they did not attend the entire funeral.
“The Friends cast did not attend the second half of the services which took place further up from the church at The Courts of Remembrance which is made up of several open air courtyards,” a source claimed, DailyMail.com revealed.
“It’s a special, more secluded area. More private. That part was only attended by Matthew’s family and closest friends. Less than 20 people.”
The insider continued: “There were about another 20 at the first part of the services. It was very intimate.
“After the services, friends left while his family and few others took a car up to the area where the coffin was taken and then carried into The Courts of Remembrance.”
It was further revealed that Matt LeBlanc, who played Joey Tribbiani in Friends, met his former co-stars outside the church after the initial ceremony.
Among the mourners were also Matthew’s closest family members and friends including his father, John Perry, mother, Suzanne Morrison, and stepfather, Keith Morrison.
“There was not a dry eye in there. There were a lot of tears and laughter. Only close friends and family spoke,” another source added.
