Heartbreaking reports coming in from Turkey have confirmed that another new massive earthquake has struck the southern part of the nation.
Sources from local media outlets confirmed the magnitude to be devastating at 6.4 on the Richter scale.
The tremor of the earthquake was seen rattling the border region between Turkey and Syria, just weeks after both nations had already been struck by a powerful earthquake that arose.
The rescue operations for the first earthquake are still taking place as 47,000 people were confirmed dead and thousands of others were displaced. Many were buried beneath rubble for days, giving rise to tragic and heartfelt miracle stories.
Today’s heartbreaking news comes just hours after Washington confirmed that it would do whatever it takes to help Turkey and Syria get back to normal after the devastating earthquakes arose two weeks back.
Meanwhile, the region most affected in Turkey showed how 21,000 people were dead in this area alone. As many prayed for the departed souls when the area’s mayor visited to offer his condolences and overview the rescue and recovery operations taking place.
Mayor Lutfu also shed light on how nearly 24,00 more had been injured in the devastating incident. And that is what has resulted in the rescue and recovery operations coming to a complete standstill as all resources are getting exhausted each second.
