A nine-year-old boy was left seriously injured after being mauled by a massive bear recently.
According to local media outlets, the horrifying incident took place during a moose hunting trip in Alaska where he was joined by his family members. They appeared to be on a mission to kill animals but a massive bear came their way and left the child with critical injuries, local media outlets revealed.
Meanwhile, a 41-year-old relative was stated to have killed the violent animal using his gun, right after the horrifyingly vicious attack took place.
The news was recently confirmed by State Troopers in Alaska, leaving many shocked.
The pair were seen hunting in the Palmer Hay Flats Game Refuge and which was around 23 miles northeast of Anchorage. This was reported during the afternoon hours on Tuesday when the giant animal came their way with its cub by its side.
The giant animal suddenly arrived with a bang and could be seen getting out of control. He grabbed a hold of the child while his uncle battled the animal and ended up shooting the creature to death in minutes.
Troopers and paramedics rushed to the scene of the crime at about 6:30 pm in the evening, and that’s where they found the boy in a seriously injured state.
Meanwhile, the shooter is believed to have sustained minor injuries but both were rushed to a nearby local hospital.
The exact location was identified as the Palmer Hay Flats Game Refuge, just 23 miles north east of Anchorage during the afternoon hours on September 20. And that’s when they came across a giant bear cub and another adult.
It was the adult one that carried out the devastating incident and was killed in the end.
