One fourth-grade Uvalde school shooting massacre survivor has reportedly suffered from a heart attack after visiting her best friend’s memorial.
According to local media reports, 11-year-old Illiana Trevino had been rushed to the hospital after she dropped off a bouquet of flowers and a giant teddy bear at her friend’s memorial last week.
Reports added how the child got really emotional and then all of a sudden, her heartbeat went out of control, leading to the tragic circumstances.
Her 10-year-old friend named Amerie Jo Garza had reportedly passed away after being shot dead by the teenage suspected gunman who shot a total of 19 students and two teachers.
The incident took place at the Rob Elementary school causing a massive outcry by the world for stricter measures on gun control.
The child’s parents revealed how the friend who died used to be their child’s best pal and she even protected her from any sort of bullying that occurred at school.
Now, Illiana is said to suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and has even expressed her great terror of returning back to school on her own. Meanwhile, her mother says her daughter is doing fine and it appears that she’s still trying to recover from a broken heart.
“I really think it’s a broken heart that she’s suffering from. And we really need to work on her healing to allow her to come through this period of sudden shock and grief”- the mother further elaborated.
Reports believe Amerie had been murdered by the gunman when she tried to make an attempt to call up 911 rescue services to arrange for help for her classmates that were shot and bleeding.
Amerie’s stepdad says he just wants to let the world that this young and brave child died trying to save her other classmates because she just wanted to save everyone.
