At least 14 people were shot in Tennessee after multiple shooters opened fire outside a bar.
On Sunday morning, gunfire erupted outside a bar in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and at least 14 people were shot in the process.
According to the reports, two people were proclaimed dead after the authorities got to the 2100 block of McCallie Avenue. Another was killed by a car fleeing the scene of the shooting.
As of this writing, several victims of the shooting remain in critical condition and are fighting for their lives. Several are also recovering from injuries sustained as they were hit by fleeing vehicles.
While the investigation into the shooting remains ongoing, it is believed several shooters were responsible for the massacre.
As WTVC reported, however, the police are yet to establish how many shooters there were and what their motives were. A manhunt for the gunmen is in full motion.
While the area outside the bar remained closed off for several hours, Police Chief Celeste Murphy spoke out and suggested the shooting was likely an isolated incident.
The police also claimed that the incident was not related to the shooting near Finley Stadium in Downtown Chattanooga where three people were shot just hours earlier.
The massacre at McCallie Avenue comes just hours after 15 people were shot in downtown Philadelphia after multiple attackers opened fire on partygoers. Three people were fatally injured in that shooting.
Our thoughts remain with the victims of the shootings.
