A statue resembling a man’s private part has been slammed across the board after it was believed to be unveiled in honor of the iconic Martin Luther King.
The iconic structure is believed to be worth a staggering $10 million but it’s just not enough to impress members of the Black community who deem it to be an absolute disgrace and insult.
Even some kin of Coretta Scott King detest the new statue and when it was unveiled, they were just not happened with what was in front of them.
The statue was for her iconic civil rights leader’s husband in Boston. But one cousin certainly didn’t hold back from referring to it as a p*nis.
This massive piece in bronze is called, ‘The Embrace’ and it features two sets of arms holding one another. And it was a symbolic representation from the artist’s point of view of Martin Luther King and his wife hugging one another.
The event dates back to the year 1964 and that’s when he won the Nobel Peace Prize.
Another close relative of the family says people in the media were forced to report on the news of the statue’s unveiling. She said they had to say positive things about it because they had no other choice.
In the same way, she mentioned that the new artwork is definitely not a lot of people’s cup of tea and she was a part of them.
Many people quoted how the statue was far from perfect and now, even little kids are calling it out for being what it is.
“I heard one young boy mention how it was a p*nis and I still can’t get that out of my head!”- explained another relative.
