Supernatural star Mark Sheppard was seen smiling from ear to ear while leaving a Los Angeles hospital following a serious health scare.
On Thursday, the 59-year-old British actor suffered a series of six massive heart attacks that landed him in hospital and nearly cost him his life.
According to the reports, Sheppard’s recovery is nothing short of a miracle after he had to be resuscitated four times.
Now, Mark was seen leaving the hospital in a gray shirt and pants while putting on a brave smile.
In pictures from the scene, the actor is seen giving goodbye hugs to the staff before leaving in a car with post-op drains still at his side.
The happy ending comes just days after the Supernatural star revealed he suffered the worst type of heart attack – the widowmaker – not once but six times in a row.
“You’re not going to believe this! Was on my way to an appointment yesterday when I collapsed in my kitchen,” he shared with his 1.7 million fans on Instagram.
“Six massive heart attacks later, and being brought back from dead four times I apparently had a 100 percent blockage in my LAD. The Widowmaker.
“If not for my wife, the @losangelesfiredepartment at Mullholland and the incredible staff @providencecalifornia St Joseph’s – I wouldn’t be writing this.”
Sheppard also said he felt humbled after beating the odds.
After his brave admission, the actor received plenty of words of support from fans and colleagues alike.
Among them was his Supernatural co-star Misha Collins who came up with a funny response to the shocking turn of development.
“Mark! You don’t need to do the most and biggest every time! Six heart attacks? Two or three would have been impressive enough. You’ve impressed us, okay,” he wrote.
“Now stop with this heal up and get back on the road with us. Love you, pal.”
