A renowned player from the Manchester United team has reportedly been dropped from the FIFA 22 game amid horrifying allegations of assault against a teenage student.
Mason Greenwood was immediately removed from FIFA as fans and followers were shocked to learn about the startling reports coming in.
While the star’s FIFA 22 Ultimate team item is currently active, experts claim that it can be swapped on the FUT 22.
The 20-year-old renowned soccer player was recently arrested on the suspicion of r*ping and assaulting an 18-year-old female student.
Just yesterday, officers from the Greater Manchester Police arrived to mention how they would be giving the star more time where they would be undergoing extensive questioning as he remained behind bars for one whole night.
The new database update includes his removal from platforms like Xbox, PC, and PlayStation too. And that means the famous striker from the Manchester United squad will no longer feature in the ever-so-famous computer game.
Greenwood was arrested on Sunday during the afternoon hours, right after he was accused by one 18-year-old female of carrying out terrifying violence and abuse.
The news comes as some of the team’s most high-profile players were quick to unfollow him on social media. This includes Cristiano Ronaldo, David de Gea, and Paul Pogba who removed him from their Instagram profile handles as did some of his other teammates.
Sources from Daily Mail have revealed how the striker could potentially stay in prison under police custody until Thursday evening.
At the moment, a spokesperson for the team has claimed that there are currently no updates on the alarming situation as officers are being given up to 96 hours to question the suspect, which could go up until late Thursday.
