Ramy Hany Mounir Fahim was charged with murder after he stabbed 23-year-old Griffin Cuomo and 23-year-old at their Anaheim apartment early Tuesday morning, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office said.

The culprit was charged with two counts of murder, two enhancements each of lying in wait, personal use of a deadly weapon, and multiple murders.

According to the DA’s Office, the special circumstances of lying in wait and numerous murders make Fahim eligible for the death penalty.

Prosecutors said that Fahim and Cuomo worked together at Pence Wealth Management in Orange County.

They said that a security guard had seen Fahim on the Katella Avenue apartment complex’ roof at midnight on April 18, 2022, only hours before he stabbed the victims.

The 26-year-old was then seen on the fifth floor, where the co-worker and his roommate lived.

When police officers arrived at the scene, they found the victims’ bodies and Fahim still inside the flat suffering from a minor injury.

A knife believed to have been used in the killings was also recovered from the scene.

Shocked neighbors described seeing blood ‘everywhere’ in the hallway and elevator.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Sgt. Shane Carringer of Anaheim Police Department said that there are surveillance cameras in the building and some residents had doorbell cameras.

A neighbor’s camera captured the culprit in the building hours before the two men were killed.

“These young men were just starting to live out their dreams and find their places in the world. But an intruder who stalked them and then slashed them to death in their own home interrupted those dreams,” O.C. District Attorney Todd Spitzer said in a statement.

“The callous way that two young lives were ended cannot be ignored and we will do everything we can to ensure justice is served.”
