A man has reportedly been jailed for beating his own grandmother to death, moments before he began to repeatedly abuse her corpse.
The suspect was identified as Donovan Miller who choked Phyllis Grant, who was 76 years old.
According to local media reports, the 31-year-old grandson had s*x with his grandmother at her residence which is located in East London.
He later informed the paramedics how he had abused her corpse as well, right after her death that took place in March of 2021.
He had admitted manslaughter as well as s*x with the woman. Other reports showed how he was a depraved cocaine addict who struggled with his life and for that reason, he continued to r*pe her course over a short period of time.
Investigators following the case spoke in detail about how Donovan Miller first choked the elderly woman in a violent manner, right before he beat her by slamming her on the head using a giant vase.
Then, he had intercourse with her twice, knowing that she was dead. And if that was not enough, he admitted to the crime in front of the paramedics too.
The victim was identified as a loving churchgoer who attended religious gatherings. Moreover, her neighbors called her for being a true matriarch for the community as well as a lovely woman.
She had recently been released by the hospital, right after she had recovered from COVID but little did she know that her own grandson would kill her.
The suspect reportedly explained to the police that despite using cocaine on a regular basis, he had no mental issues but it is yet to be determined why he chose to take his own loved one’s life in the first place.
Miller will now be sentenced next month and is currently being held in police custody.
