Tragic reports coming in from Denmark have gone on to speak about the death of a man who recently passed away after being bitten by his own pet cat.
Henrik Kriegbaum Plettner adopted a pet cat and her kittens from an animal shelter. But little did he know that they would turn out to be an absolute nightmare for him and cause him to lose his life.
The man’s finger reportedly was bitten by his pet cat, around four years back. But now, he has reportedly passed away from a flesh-eating bacteria that reportedly infected his blood.
The can was first adopted in the year 2018 and during that time, his index finger was bitten. He claimed that he was making an attempt to move one kitten when the incident arose.
He actually did not think too much about it until he realized that his hand had really swollen to twice its usual size within a span of just a few hours.
Therefore, on that note, he rang the doctor but had been told by them to wait a little bit. And by that, they meant the next day. Finally, after a few consultations, he did end up at the hospital.
He was seen hospitalized there for a little over one month and during that time, he is believed to have undergone a staggering number of operations which were 15 in total.
But after a span of four months after this, the finger still didn’t function too well and the medical experts opted to amputate it.
Despite the medical intervention, his health continues to decline. His mother began to inform the local media how his health kept fluctuating on and off again. “He had a really weak immune system, gout, diabetes, and pneumonia as well”- his mom revealed.
The cat managed to bite right into a blood vessel and that meant the bacteria had disseminated, leading to his death, four years later.
