A desperate police search has begun for a missing 12-year-old schoolgirl named Leona Park.
According to local media outlets, Leona went missing about one week back and was reportedly last spotted at the Hele Park area of Newton Abbot.
Leona originally hails from North Devon and was termed to be a loving and bubbly individual by loved ones who are desperately looking for clues regarding her sudden mysterious disappearance.
Police now claim that she may have traveled to Bideford. They are also revealing his description while requesting the general public to come forward and assist with the search.
She was described as being fair-skinned and slim to medium in build and around 4ft 9inches in height with hazel-toned eyes. Her long hair was reported as being brown colored with an added bald patch visible above her right-sided ear.
Police claim that if you happen to see her, please don’t hesitate and immediately call up 999.
The fact that Leona has been missing for nearly a week now has caused great concern amongst both the police as well as her loved ones who are desperate for her return.
Her parents have been worried sick as she was missing on Christmas and hence couldn’t celebrate the festive occasion with her loved ones.
In the same way, police have also made an appeal to Leona to please make contact with her loved ones in Newton Abbot.
The detective Inspector following the case revealed how enquires are being done on a routine basis as a means of picking up the pace in regards to their efforts of locating the missing schoolgirl.
“This time of the year is very important for families and we are making sure that she is okay and that’s why we’re requesting that anyone with her should encourage her to contact her family,” authorities concluded.
