A nurse from Arizona has reportedly been killed alongside her aunt recently after their jeep plunged 250 feet from one of Colorado’s most dangerous peaks.
According to local media outlets, the final image of the nurse from Arizona was recently released that showed her smiling before plunging to her death.
The incident is believed not to be the first that has taken place in the dangerous Colorado Mountain Pass on Monday.
28-year-old Diana Robles and Ofelia Figueroa Perez recently left loved ones in a state of shock and grief when they were informed about the tragedy. Diana was recalled for her loving nature and ability to empathize greatly with her patients.
The duo and the jeep’s driver died after the vehicle slid off Camp Bird Road alongside their driver, Don Fehd.
The jeep continued to fall and roll, throwing the nurse out after coming to rest due to the impact of the crash. Moreover, authorities have confirmed that this is the second incident of the week to occur in the same location, and that’s why they’re closing it down temporarily as investigations into the tragedy continue.
Another couple was involved in a completely separate incident that took place this week. The man was killed, and his wife was severely injured.
As no specific reasons for the crash have been outlined, the police claim it’s just too soon to speculate what may have resulted in the tragedy. However, they have now ruled out claims related to poor weather, bad driving, and overspeeding as factors that may have been involved.
