The world we live in today can be awfully cruel sometimes, not to mention judgemental.
This is the story of a mother who says she’s addicted to tattoos but because of her love for body art, she’s not able to find any decent way to make a living.
The world is already facing so much economic uncertainty and without a job, times can get really tough. This is why the mother who says she’s got a house to feed is asking people to be kind and stop judging based on her exterior.
Melissa Sloan says she gets tattoos done every week, around three in number because she loves it. But she never imagined that it would come at the cost of people judging her to such an extent that she’s no longer able to get a job.
The mother says that people give her the worst stares on the streets and the same goes for offices. She also adds that there are interviews that call her in but fail to respond back and she’s sick and tired of it.
“People give me the cruelest looks while I’m out in public. It’s really hard for me sometimes because I want them to know that my inkings are my choice. Stop labeling or stereotyping me like I’m some sort of criminal!”- she continued.
Melissa says it’s hard seeing people assume that she won’t be good enough for a certain position because of her tattoos. And now, she wants employers to take her seriously because it’s hard living a life without a job.
In case you’re wondering why this mother actually has so many inkings in the first place, well, it has to do with her troubled past.
She claims to have been abused by her brother when she was so young. Hence, her inkings provide her with the strength to move on and never look back and that’s why she’s got so many to remind herself that she’s so strong.
