Tragedy at its peak as a young mother rushed to a nearby medical center with her child, only to realize he was already dead.

According to reports from local media outlets, the mother says she was heartbroken beyond words can describe after the doctors confirmed her weeks-old newborn’s death in front of her.

The three-week-old child reportedly suffocated due to his mother’s own lethal mistake. And that included holding him inside a sling that was wrapped around her.

Tattika Dunn reportedly arrived at the health care center for a checkup as she felt something was not right. But the news she received in return shattered her heart into a million pieces, as reported by local media outlets.

A duty nurse assumed she was holding a bag against her belly but little did she know that it encased her tiny newborn who died from suffocation.

Little Harvey McGlinn is slung in a low and horizontal position. And this was right around her abdomen region.

But the mother did not realize that at some point in time, the fabric sling managed to suffocate him to death and he died silently.

Just days ago, the family was celebrating the arrival of a new member of their household. But little did they know that he would be a temporary member as his death was so near.

The couple has started a GoFundMe to raise money for his funeral while others express their heartbreaking tributes on the news.

Viral images of the couple’s baby shoot with little Harvey are going viral as many called him the cutest little bubble they’d ever come across.

The mother hopes others can learn from her horrifying mistake and avoid using slings made from fabrics as the risks are just too much.
