A beautiful 5-year-old girl was left in the most debilitating condition imaginable after a vicious bulldog mauled her.

According to reports from local media reports, the tragic incident took place in the south of London yesterday while the child was playing with her little friends outside. But little did she know about the horror that lay ahead of her.

The vicious dog bit off chunks of her cheek and that left her with life-changing and horrifying injuries. Moreover, the dog was believed to belong to her neighbor and was never seen as a threat to young kids in the past.

But this tragic and shocking incident has left the family broken and grieving as they pray for their young girl that is battling for her life in the hospital.

The girl who hails from Croydon was believed to have been bitten by a bull terrier who reportedly pinned her down to the ground.

And after keeping her in that position, he bit off chunks of her flesh as she lay there crying and screaming for help in the most heartbreaking manner.

So many of her little friends watched the horror unfold before their eyes and feared for their lives too.

The mother named Kristy says her child and so many others are literally traumatized forever as this sort of behavior was not expected by the pet.

The little girl has reportedly undergone three major surgeries to treat her critical wounds. She is still in critical condition, local media outlets went on to explain.

The attack took place during the afternoon hours when Elsie and her younger sister opted to play outside with their other friends in the secure area, right outside their block.

While the attack only lasted for a couple of minutes, sources claim that the consequences were enough to last a lifetime.
