Viewers are praising ‘The Last of Us’ in so many different ways and now, it’s become the talk of the town for featuring a scene that highlights the use of menstrual cups.
The leading series may only be in its first season but so far, it’s managing to turn out into a major success. Think along the lines of breaking down all sorts of barriers linked to societal boundaries.
The post-apocalyptic hard hitter has certainly done it again. It’s gloomy and has a message that is very different from your average show. But what does that really mean?
There are so many societal pressures in this world that are being discussed. And when episode six came on, we were treated to just that and more.
Just a few episodes after this show’s heartbreaking depiction of LGBTQ+ love story, we’re starting to see something more different and unique.
This included the thought of getting your period could be awfully confusing. And the character really struggled. She hence ended up with a menstrual cup with a proper manual that explained how exactly and confusing things can turn out to be in the end. But with the help, the character felt more at ease.
Those people that felt that it was a little much for them, well, that’s interesting because it should not have been like that.
If you can handle the likes of bloody monsters then why can’t you simply handle a period and bloody affair right?
The character sees the cup, squeezes it, and then before we know it, she exclaims the words, ‘gross!’ Fans loved it and some commented on how practical it was to show this because, in a zombie world, it’s expected too right?
