Kyle Rittenhouse has returned back to the court again, but this time around, he has gone to get the gun that he made use of during his Kenosha shootings.
According to local media reports, a judge from Wisconsin will reportedly hear the set of arguments regarding whether the prosecutors should actually return the gun back to Rittenhouse or not.
The gun in question is being deemed as the assault-type of rifle that was made use of by the teen to shoot down three people, two of which were reportedly killed from the gunshot wounds.
The incident took place in Kenosha during a citywide street protest where demonstrators got violent as they demanded the police force be defunded.
Kyle Rittenhouse shot the men during the 2020 protest where he killed two victims named Anthony Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum. However, the third person named Gaige Grosskreutz managed to survive after receiving gunshot injuries to his arm.
Meanwhile, Rittenhouse has argued how he only shot the men in self-defense and if he had not fired those bullets using his rifle, he would be dead today.
Last year, a jury had reportedly acquitted Rittenhouse for all the multiple charges that were slapped against him and this includes homicide.
On January 19, Kyle Rittenhouse’s attorney filed a motion that comprised of a request towards prosecutors for the return of Rittenhouse’s gun, his face mask, all of his ammunition, and any other pieces of clothing that he was wearing during the night where the horrific shooting incident took place.
The news comes at a time when Rittenhouse’s spokesperson had also revealed how Kyle wishes to have all of his belongings back so he can destroy the weapon and discard all of the other things so that nothing left may be used as a trophy that celebrated the shootings.
