The Cheers and Veronica’s Closet actress died on Monday shortly after her cancer diagnosis, her family confirmed.
Since her shocking passing, thousands of people and co-stars paid the actress and devout scientologist a touching tribute as her family prepares for her memorial service and funeral.

It has also surfaced that Alley was being treated at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, before her passing at her Clearwater home.

The updates come shortly after Alley’s children announced her passing in a heartbreaking post.
“We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered,” they wrote.
“She was surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead. As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother.”
True and Lillie also thanked their mother’s doctors before applauding their mom’s “zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating, were unparalleled and leave us inspired to live life to the fullest just as she did.”
Our thoughts remain with Kirstie’s family, friends, and colleagues as they continue to grieve the loss of an amazing actress and a great human being.
