Toddlers and Tiaras star Kailia Posey has passed away at the age of 16, his mother confirmed.
According to reports, the pageant competitor was found dead at Birch Bay State Park in Blaine only days after she attended prom. Authorities are investigating her death.
The teen’s grieving mother took to Facebook and wrote: “I don’t have words or any thoughts. A beautiful baby girl is gone.”
The grieving mother added: “Please give us privacy as we mourn the loss of Kailia. My baby forever.”
Washington State Police told Daily Mail that authorities are investigating the teen’s death at the 194-acre state park, which features a large camping ground and scenic rocky beach.
Officers reportedly responded to the scene on Monday afternoon to assist the Whatcom County Sheriffs and park service.
Previous reports said that Kailia died in a car accident but her cause of death has not been released and it is not clear whether a car was involved.
Kailia had just turned 16 on April 19 and attended high school prom days before she was found dead.
Last week, her mother announced that she had earned a spot on the high school’s football cheerleading team.
She also planned to study aviation and become a commercial pilot.
On April 23, Kailia shared her final Instagram post and revealed she was on a cruise. She captioned her photo “none of your concern” with hashtags #fun #friends #mylove #cruise.
Kailia starred in TLC’s Toddlers and Tiaras, a reality show that ran for seven seasons from 2009 to 2013.
The teen, who started joining pageants when she was only 3, competed for the Miss Washington Teen USA title in February.
She also starred in the 2018 Netflix film Eli, playing the role of Agnes.
