A jury has reportedly convicted killer James Watson who was accused of undressing and then violently strangling a young child to death in 1996.
While the verdict for the horrifyingly tragic case may have come late, one thing is for sure. Many are happy that justice has been served because the details of the tragedy haunt so many people today, including the victim’s loved ones.
Moreover, many felt that the mere thought of having a child murderer in their presence of surely a hard pill to swallow but after his arrest, they feel a little relieved the young victim can never come back to life.
The victim was identified as Ricki Naeve who was stripped down naked and then strangled in the most shocking manner until he died. But more chilling details surrounding the case continued to arise, including the types of abuse the young one encountered before he finally left this world for the next.
“It was 28 years of nothing but pure lies and failures”- mentioned people who had been watching the case for quite some time now.
The world witnessed how the suspect’s own mother was forced to go on trial for the murder but she was deemed not guilty because the court failed to provide any evidence regarding the accusations.
Therefore, there was a long and tedious search and hunt for the real killer. And that’s when the sudden decision to probe the case once again in 2005 took place, which is being considered the turning point.
Experts were able to conduct sophisticated DNA analysis from the victim’s own clothing and that led to some very interesting findings, and ultimately led to the true murderer being identified in the end.
