Johnny Depp’s chilling text messages to ex-wife Amber Heard have been revealed in court during the $100 million defamation trial.
As Depp’s libel case against Heard continues, more evidence detailing the vast rift between the two former lovers is emerging.
On Wednesday, the jury heard of Depp’s chilling text messages about Amber Heard dating back to October 2016.
The texts were revealed after Heard’s attorney, Elaine Bredehoft, questioned Depp’s friend and artist Isaac Baruch about their texts exchange.
In one message, Depp allegedly referred to Amber as a c*** while in another he said he hoped her rotting corpse was in a trunk of a car.
“Do you recall Mr. Depp ever telling you that he, in base terms, hoped that Amber’s rotting corpse is decomposing in the f***ing trunk of a Honda Civic?” Bredehoft asked Baruch.
Responding, the artist, who was hired by Depp to paint, said: “Yeah, I’m seeing it here so obviously yeah it was said. It was written.”
Bredehoft went on: “Do you recall Mr. Depp calling Amber Heard a c**t and saying it was her fault?”
“It’s written there I see that,” Baruch responded.
As the jury heard, a part of Depp’s text messages read: “That c**t ruined such a f**king cool life we had for a while.”
During his testimony, Baruch also revealed that the Hollywood star let him live in his penthouse apartment for free for several years because he loved his artwork so much.
He also testified that he was paid some $100,000 for his creations over the span of three years.
