Country star Jake Flint passed away suddenly at the age of 37 just hours after his wedding.
The Oklahoma singer and songwriter reportedly died in his sleep on Saturday night just moments after exchanging his vows with his bride, Brenda.
According to the reports, the couple held a beautiful ceremony at a homestead near Tulsa before going to bed on what should be the happiest day of their lives.
Just hours after the event, however, Flint died in his sleep from unknown causes.
“We should be going through wedding photos but instead I have to pick out clothes to bury my husband in. People aren’t meant to feel this much pain,” the musician’s heartbroken wife expressed.
“My heart is gone and I just really need him to come back. I can’t take much more. I need him here.”
Confirming Flint’s death and sparking a wave of shock in the music community was his publicist Clif Doyal who dubbed the “Hurry up and Wait” hitmaker as a “super nice guy” and a “dear friend.”
“He was not only a client, he was a dear friend and just a super nice guy. As you can see from the outpouring on social media, he was loved by everybody,” Doyal said.
“I think a lot of it was just that he was a people person, and he had an amazing sense of humor. He made everybody laugh, and he made everybody feel welcome. He was an ambassador for Oklahoma Red Dirt music.”
Brenda Cline, the 37-year-old’s manager, added: “With a broken heart and in deep grief I must announce that Jake Flint has tragically passed away. I’ve tried several times today to make a post, but you can’t comment on what you can’t process.”
Our thoughts are with Jake’s wife, family, and friends during this challenging time.
