The final actions of a young Israeli couple that was killed by Hamas when the terrorists invaded Israel have been revealed.
30-year-old Itay and Hadar Berdichevsky were at their home with their twin 10-month-old babies when Hamas militants stormed their property with guns.
According to the reports, the couple managed to place their children in a hidden shelter just moments before they were attacked by Hamas and shot dead.
Fortunately, the attackers did not find out about the two babies who were only discovered 12 hours later when Israeli soldiers were clearing the area.
Israeli ambassador Gali Dagan has since branded the loving parents as heroes and revealed they did “everything they could to save their children.”
“They hid their 10-month-old twin children in the shelter while terrorists infiltrated their home. Itay and Hadar were brutally murdered after bravely fighting the terrorists,” Dagan wrote.
“The babies were left alone for more than 12 hours until they were rescued. Imagine the horror. Two terrified parents doing everything they can to save their children, who are now orphaned. Blessed be the memory of these heroes.”
In the Hamas assault on Israel, some seven hundred Israelis were killed while dozens of women were kidnapped, assaulted, and paraded through the streets by the terrorists.
In response to the sneak attack, Israel declared war and vowed severe vengeance. A massive offensive on the Gaza Strip has since been launched, with 1,000 Hamas targets already destroyed.
In the bombing, at least 560 Palestinian civilians including women and children were also killed.
