Renowned actress and singer Irene Cara was recently found dead inside her residence in Florida today.
Sources from local media outlets have gone on to speak about the devastating tragedy involving the star Flashdance singer and Fame actor. She was believed to have been involved in the past in a terrifying death hoax too. It caused great speculation and even went on to make her fans believe she had passed away but that was not the truth.
Therefore, when today’s announcement was made, so many fans assumed the news was not true too and hence called it out as a major lie spreading across social media.
Cara who was a famous child performer entered the national spotlight while playing the role of Coco Hernandez in the famous musical from the 1980s called Fame. And this is where she reportedly earned two Grammy wins.
In the year 1984, she went on to win another award and a Grammy for her iconic Flashdance… What a Feeling’ number that is still adored by millions around the world today.
But today’s news was definitely a rude awakening and very bittersweet moment for plenty who couldn’t come to terms with the announcement set out by her own publicist. She confirmed the star’s death on Saturday after the later midnight hours.
On the other hand, the news of the singer’s sudden passing away was even confirmed recently by ABC13.
“It is with profound sadness that on behalf of her family, I announce the passing of Irene Cara”- the statement went on to read. And that caused shockwaves across the industry with so many fans sending out heartfelt tributes for the talented woman.
One Twitter user said she still finds this so hard to believe as there was a previous hoax that was very similar and she just did not want to think about the loss of a great legend.
