Heartbreaking reports have gone on to speak about a newborn baby being found inside a trash can with its umbilical cord still attached.
According to local media outlets, the incident is believed to have taken place at a Grimsby estate where the child was still found to be alive and breathing while kicking his feet inside the bin full of garbage. Shockingly, his umbilical cord was still attached and that was a clear indication to many that he was just recently born.
Reports from Grimbsy Live stated how the child was seen among a huge pile of grass currently and inside the giant brown-toned waste bin.
The incident took place on Sunday during the evening hours when residents present at the estate claimed to have heard the loud crying sounds of the child, coming from near the bin. And to their absolute shock and horror, there was a baby inside.
One witness says the baby was found by an elderly female resident who lived in the community, she immediately notified the officials while taking out the child from beneath the pile of rubbish.
“I heard the sounds of a crying and distressed child. At first, I didn’t know what to make of it. Where was the child and why was he crying. I opened the lid of the trash can and found him inside”- the woman revealed.
The neighbors all joined hands in the rescue mission and were beyond enraged at what was going on in the community. How could any parent be so cruel to do something as tragic as this, they wondered.
The baby was immediately admitted to a nearby hospital, where doctors attended to him immediately. At the moment, it is believed to be out of danger while investigations into the case continued. Thankfully, the child’s mother has been traced and is now being held in custody.
