A young woman who inspired thousands has passed away at the age of 30 after a long battle with her illness.

Patricia Rite was a social media figure and an influencer with over 350,000 followers who bravely documented her journey after being diagnosed with skin cancer four years ago.

On her platforms, Patricia regularly provided updates about her battle with cancer while creating content related to make-up and fashion on the side.

Unfortunately, the young woman succumbed to her condition on April 16, her family revealed in a heartbreaking statement.

“Patricia left us. Her mother and her relatives ask for respect in these hard times,” the statement read.

“Thank you to all the people, who in one way or another, gave her support and love during this time, directly or indirectly.”

The sad news comes just over a week after the 30-year-old shared her final post in which she revealed she was admitted to the hospital after suffering additional health complications.

“Busy week, I was going to be treated on Tuesday but was finally admitted to hospital and treated on Friday,” Patricia revealed on April 5.

“Since then, bad vomiting with an achy body until yesterday. I couldn’t move from the bathroom and I felt terrible.

“Today, I feel a little stronger. Since yesterday, I haven’t vomited and I’ve started eating, which I hadn’t done since Friday, and I’m starting to improve. Let’s go little by little.”

Following the heart-wrenching announcement made by Patricia’s family, the influencer’s fans and supporters flooded her social media accounts with heartfelt tributes.

“Patri, a little piece of you has remained in all of us, those of us who followed you and had you as part of our family. A big hug to your family and friends and another to your network ‘family’ of which we were many,” someone expressed.

“I cannot believe it. Life is super unfair, Patri. Fly high, ever since I met you, you inspired me. My heart just skipped a beat. RIP precious, and a huge hug to her mother, family and friends,” another said.
