Florida’s Hurricane Ian could be the deadliest natural disaster in America, warned President Biden recently.
According to local media outlets, the country’s head of state was seen giving a press briefing on the terrifying situation that has already left hundreds dead and more than thousands displaced.
The news comes as rescue efforts are currently underway. Moreover, around one million Floridians are currently being affected by power outages as several hundred are still waiting to be evacuated after being trapped in the horrifying tragedy.
President Biden snapped at a reporter recently when he asked about his relationship with Republican and Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis.
Biden felt this was definitely not the right question and not the right timing for such a query. He said a natural disaster had nothing to do with politics and right now, the topmost priority for all was to get those trapped out and provide them with aid as swiftly as possible.
President Biden was pictured making some urgent phone calls to release funds that could be utilized for the destruction currently being witnessed by Florida. In the same way, he praised so many of his workers and warned gas firms not to use this situation as an excuse to raise the price of gas.
The President squashed any rumors regarding a rivalry between him and governor Ron DeSantis. He continued to boldly declare how the duo were on good terms and hoped such ridiculous rumors wouldn’t arise during a time of national crisis such as this.
“This is only about saving people’s lives, homes, and businesses. Please understand that. This isn’t the right time for feuds or battles”- he concluded.
