Shocking reports have confirmed the death of a young 7-year-old girl who tragically passed away while vacationing with her family.
The girl who hailed from East London in the United Kingdom happened to swim out in the sea when all of a sudden, a giant speedboat was seen crashing right into her, killing her instantly.
The victim was recently identified as Jonada Avdia, whose death was ensured when a police officer driving the speedboat rammed into her at Potami Beach in Himara, South Albania.
The suspect was identified as Arjan Tase who is now being questioned while under police custody.
He was said to be off duty, enjoying some leisure time but the victim’s parents believe he is a murderer who must be held accountable for his serious crimes that have torn their family apart forever.
Jonada was just 15 feet away from the shoreline when the horrifying incident ensued and the speedboat rammed into her, right in front of several onlookers who say they were traumatized after seeing the tragedy unfold before their eyes.
The death of the young girl has led to a series of widespread protests across the nation, where some are going as far as demanding leading ministers and the Prime Minister resign.
It was also revealed how the off-duty cop was maneuvering the vehicle in a dangerous manner across the beach, something that is not commonly seen at the tourist hot spot beach.
The incident took place at about 2 pm on Tuesday, when the driver clearly lost control of the speedboat and slammed right into the child, who passed away at the scene.
Now, the accused cop is expected to make his first court appearance on Friday, moments after he was charged with manslaughter, as reported by Albania Daily News recently.
