A mother has been fined a staggering $362 for holding her child’s mobile phone while driving.
According to reports from local media outlets, the mother claims she was mortified to learn that she would now have to pay a staggering $362 for this fine while calling out the decision to be really unfair.
While she did admit that mistakes can happen and that rules are in place to stop people from talking and driving at the same time, it gets awfully hard sometimes.
But as a part of her justification, she says that the phone in her hand was not even real. And despite letting the cops know about this, she was blasted and no one opted to listen to her.
The famous Bluey toy phone was in her hand while she was driving. Moreover, the incident reportedly took place in Sydney where on the highway, the traffic police’s camera caught her in the act at 7:30 in the morning.
When the fine arrived in the mail, she became so furious as to what in the world was going on. Why was she being fined like this, she kept asking herself.
The mother did not waste time asking for more photographic evidence about the whole matter. She claims that it’s just so bizarre that anyone would do something like this. “What happened here is so wrong, I don’t think they can fine me like this and remove 5 demerit points here”- she added.
When the photographic evidence came back, she couldn’t believe her eyes.
It was just so tragic for her to see all of this. But after connecting the pieces of the dots, she understood it was her daughter’s toy phone that was the culprit here.
