BREAKING: Elderly Couple Hit By Lightning Near White House DIE While Two More Remain Critical


An elderly couple who was struck by lightning recently near the White House has reportedly died.

According to local media outlets, the couple hailed from Wisconsin and were a part of the four people that had been struck by lightning at an area that was outlined to be close to the White House. The news was confirmed by the police on Friday.

The victims were both tourists and were recently identified as 75-year-old Donna Mueller and 76-year-old James Mueller who all were rushed to a nearby hospital and treated for their critical injuries.

All of their conditions were outlined to be serious by medical experts when lightning struck them as they stood at Lafayette Square, during the later hours of Thursday in DC, confirmed the police to the New York Post recently.

Moments later, the authorities confirmed that two of the four people stuck had died while the other two continue to battle for their lives while being hospitalized.

Meanwhile, a recent message was released by the White House’s press secretary regarding the incident, calling it an unfortunate tragedy while adding how saddened they were at the sudden loss of life.

“Our hearts go out to the loved ones and the families of those who lost their lives in this tragedy. We are praying for those who are still fighting hard to survive”- the message went on to conclude.

It has been revealed how the tragedy struck the victims while they were standing right opposite the White House. After the incident unfolded, several uniformed Secret Service Members began to rush by their side and rendered first aid, confirmed a correspondent from the Fire Department.
