36-year-old Amber Heard was recently seen speaking to NBC’s Dateline for her interview and during that segment, she made some explosive comments against her former partner Johnny Depp.
Heard’s interview which was aired in competition during the hours of Friday night saw the actress speak her mind, uncensored. And that includes so many comments about the verdict that was revealed and also how she felt about the way she was treated during the trial.
While speaking to NBC host Savannah Guthrie, Amber Heard stated that the entire process of testifying was just so daunting for her. She also added how it was so intimidating to put up a face in front of the world.
“I had to make sure I remained calm and composed and that my words wouldn’t put anyone else off”- Heard revealed.
But Heard failed to take back any of her allegations and stood strong against her claims that Johnny Depp had abused her.
“Yes, I was just so terrified about the whole experience. I didn’t know that speaking out the truth would really paint such a tainted image of me in front of the world but I had to do it. I needed to tell the world my side of the story”- she adds.
And then the host questioned Amber Heard about her feelings regarding Johnny Depp’s exes.
“Why did nobody else come forward and speak of abuse? If he was so violent and they had endured the same, why do you think they didn’t come forward”- the NBC host asked.
On that note, Amber Heard replied by saying: “Look what happened to me. Would you want something like that to happen to you?”
“They were all just too scared of him and the consequences of speaking out about abuse in public. Not everyone had the same courage as me”- the actress stated in a bold manner.
