Jennette McCurdy left viewers shocked recently when she decided to open up about her troubled childhood and what difficult times she was forced to endure when she was just so young.
Jeannette’s most striking confession had to do with her mother and how she had forced her to take showers with her much older teenage brother at the age of 11.
Speaking for a new and exclusive candid interview, the celeb who rose to fame with her role in Nickelodeon’s iCarly says her youth as a successful child star was not as glitzy and glamourous as many would have liked.
And she’s giving all the credit to her mother that made her do things that really leave many baffled.
“My late mother was just so controlling. If I ever start to tell you what I’ve endured, it just might not go down too well!”- the celeb explained.
Moreover, many were shocked when the actress chose to write a memoir that many felt was awfully controversial. It was titled, “I’m glad that my mother died!”
The 30 year old recently made her appearance on a recent episode for Jada Pinkett Smith’s show called Red Table Talk. Here is where the celeb was seen discussing her memoir further in detail, and that is when the alleged bizarre showering habits came into the picture.
Pinkett Smith revealed how she came across this heartbreaking moment and just had to ask how a mother could do something like this.
“I absolutely dreaded taking showers. My mother still showered me at this age. She told me it made complete sense that she was washing her hair, since she was the professional hair stylist”- the celeb added.
“We both used to get embarrassed, me and my 16 year old brother named Scotty. But that’s how controlling she was. We didn’t like it but we had to live with it!”- she explained.
