The 9/11 incident is a reality that many of us have been forced to live with but for some, the nightmare is a never-ending ordeal.
According to sources from local media outlets, the man responsible for checking in two hijackers from Flight 77 that crashed near a field near the Pentagon says he’s been living in horror ever since.
A total of four passenger planes crashed on September 11, 2001, leading to hundreds being killed and sparking a new form of terrorist fear that not many were prepared for.
But despite years passing by, one man who was in charge of checking in passengers from flight 77 says he’s been having a really hard time living his life because it’s something that continues to haunt him.
The man named Vaughn Allex says he had no idea what sort of a role he would be playing when he checked in all of the passengers aboard the doomed flight.point 418 |
He also recalled how two men were seen rushing toward the gate and begging him to let him board the flight, despite them being late.point 108 | He did allow them, but that was one mistake he can never forgive himself for.point 171 | 1
A total of 44 people were killed on that flight in Pennsylvania but sources confirmed how the passengers were brave enough to take control of the aircraft and prevent further loss of human life but steering the plane away from the Pentagon and instead landing in a field.
This way, they prevented an even bigger or more large-scale tragedy from taking place than what had already ensued.
Do you think this person at the air ticket counter should be blamed for allowing two strangers to board a plane at the last minute that turned out to be hijackers? Let us know and be sure to SHARE the story with others too.
