A 73-year-old grandmother has reportedly been killed in a horrifying carjacking incident where she is said to have lost her arm.

According to local media reports, the grandmother died in New Orleans where her arm, as well as her clothes, had been ripped off.

Sources revealed how the elderly citizen’s arm became stuck due to her seatbelt. The attackers viciously drove off the vehicle without noticing at high speed and that led to the terrifying tragedy.

Authorities identified the victim as Linda Frickey who was reportedly carjacked by a group of four young teenage boys.

The incident took place at about 1:30 pm in the afternoon on Monday, as revealed by authorities.

Linda was leaving a business that was present at a neighborhood in the New Orleans’ Mid-City neighborhood as reported recently by WWL-TV.

The outlet also spoke about how she was dragged for nearly an entire block on North Scott Street.

“Her whole arm had been severed from her body”- confirmed Superintendent from the Police, Shaun Ferguson.

One of the eyewitnesses who happened to be present at the scene revealed how the victim was making an attempt to place something inside her vehicle when one of the male members jumped right in front of her vehicle and started to kick her out.

Some reports also spoke about how she got caught in the wheel too and how she had pleaded with the teen male robbers to please let her go.

The New Orleans Police Department has recently announced how they have managed to catch and arrest all four boys involved in the incident. They were reported as being between the ages of 15 to 17.
