PICTURED: 71-Year-Old Grandfather Who Tragically Died In Multi-Car Crash That SLICED His Ferrari In Half


Heartbreaking tributes have started pouring in for the 71-year-old grandfather who tragically died when his Ferrari was cut in half in California.

Robert Nicoletti was remembered on Facebook for his ‘contagious laugh and smile.”

His brother-in-law took to social media on Saturday and wrote: “Bob I always loved you and we remained close for the last 30 years and I will miss that contiguous laugh and smile, may you rest in peace my friend.”

Friends and family members came together and remembered him for being a ‘wonderful’ father and grandfather.

“It is with heavy heart that a great Father, uncle, brother and friend to so many was killed yesterday afternoon in a horrific car accident,” Mike Anderson, Nicoletti’s brother-in-law, wrote.

He described the 71-year-old as a ‘wonderful person’ and said he ‘will always be grateful for him always being there for my daughters and grandson in California.”

“God gained an amazing Angel. Love you Bob,” he added.

Robert’s son, Kyle Nicoletti, took to Twitter and shared a photo of his father after the tragic incident.

One person commented to his post: “Man this hits home. Your dad was the s**t and I have so many stories and jokes from him. You and all your fam are in my hearts and prayers.”

Nicole Stone Neuland, who identified Nicoletti as her Godfather, also wrote: “I miss you already Uncle Bob. You were such a wonderful man and Godfather. I can’t wait to see you in heaven and give you a big hug.”

The crash happened in Santiago Canyon, near the town of Silverado.

California Highway Patrol rushed to the scene and found the cars smashed and mangled, with the Ferrari sliced in two.

The two other drivers involved in the collision were left uninjured, according to reports.

“Speed was probably a factor,” Sgt. Kris Ulibarri with the CHP’s Santa Ana office said. “We’re still investigating, but as you can see the Ferrari is split in half.”
