Tragic reports coming in from New York revealed how a female student was forced to make use of male pronouns.
The 9-year-old child was so confused and upset with the incident that she was made to believe that she was a boy trapped in a female’s body.
Therefore, it did not take her long into having thoughts about self-harm, reports have gone on to confirm.
Debra Rosenquist who is the teacher guilty of such behavior began to call upon the girl as one that she felt was better off as a boy. The fact that she did that based on her own judgment shocked plenty of people as they felt it was so wrong and unethical.
She began to refer to the boy with the male pronouns at the start of the year 2021 to 2022 as per the lawsuit filed in the Suffolk County Court.
This lawsuit came about due to the behavior of the child’s parents. They claim that no teacher has the right to do such things without their prior knowledge and consent.
The parents went on to mention how they were only slightly hinted about what was taking place in January of 2022.
Nothing else was spoken about in detail and that made them furious. Moreover, they always wondered why their child was showing up in this position and why her mood was so depressed all of the time. But little did they know that a teacher’s mere judgment and persuasion were behind the ordeal.
“My child used to say things like how sad she felt and how this was not the type of behavior she or anyone would expect from a teacher. On other occasions, she would talk about killing herself”- the mother continued. And it brought anger and tears to their eyes.
