Startling footage was recently released from Florida where a male cop can be seen grabbing a fellow female police officer by the throat.
Local media reports claim that the shocking incident has caused uproar and outrage amongst citizens after the horrifyingly violent footage started to make the rounds on social media. For this reason, the Sunrise Police Department is currently in the midst of probing the incident.
The accused has been identified as sergeant Christopher Pullease who grabs his fellow colleague by the throat, right before shoving her inside the police vehicle.
Other reports have gone about speculating how the incident took place because she tried to prevent him from harming another fellow suspect, as stated by officials.
The police department released the footage from the incident that reportedly took place last November. And that’s when the sergeant appeared to be responding to one emergency call regarding a male who appeared to be causing violence and attacking others present outside a local convenience store.
In this particular video, Mr. Pullease can be seen walking towards the vehicle in which fellow cops attempted to force the accused suspect inside as he tried his best to resist their actions.
Upon reaching that particular area, the sergeant can be seen approaching the patrol vehicle and hovering over the male suspect. At that moment, he can also be seen holding a pepper spray in his hand.
Soon enough, the sergeant engages in a verbal altercation as revealed by the Sunrise police chief in a statement issued by the WSVN7 media channel.
Before you know it, Mr. Pullease behaves aggressively against the suspect with one fellow colleague rushing to move him away. She tries to pull the officer by the belt in an effort to stop him from behaving violently and that’s when he loses his cool and grabs the female by the throat and slams her against the patrol car.
The police chief claims that the female cop did the right thing by stopping the sergeant from behaving that way but the response she got from her senior was unacceptable.
