Four young girls were arrested at a family home after kidnapping a teenage boy and torturing him for hours.
The shocking case takes place in New South Wales, Australia, where a 13-year-old boy was spending the night with his four female friends at one of their homes.
After one of the girls, a 15-year-old, borrowed the boy’s phone, she ran away with it and the boy pursued her with the help of his other female friends.
Once they all caught up with the 15-year-old, however, the two girls the boy was with turned on him and helped their friend drag him back to the house where they used tape to bind his wrists and ankles and shut his mouth.
The four girls then allegedly kicked, punched, and threatened the 13-year-old with weapons while filming the entire attack with his phone.
They also demanded he gives them his cellphone’s PIN while burning him with a lighter and cutting his hair.
According to the police, the torment wasn’t over until the 13-year-old managed to escape and flee the house.
“All four assailants, including the (15-year-old), then held the victim to the ground and used a pair of kitchen scissors to cut his hair and shave his eyebrows,” the court heard.
“He was further assaulted outside the house by being kneed in the chest and groin and struck on the head. The victim eventually escaped and ran to his parents’ house.”
Following the brutal attack, a judge ruled that the 15-year-old was genuinely remorseful and at good odds of rehabilitation. She was handed an 18-month community correction order and walked free from the court.
While the criminal proceedings of the other three girls remain unknown, it is believed that neither of them was jailed for the assault.
